MY VISIT TO THE CINNAMON STICK

Well to my surprise this morning, it wasn't raining. So, we decided to take a drive to Hereford,Pa. to The Cinnamon Stick. Oh, what a delight! Now I've been wanting to go ever since I discovered Judy's cheerful blog "The Spice Cupboard"
http://thespicecupboard.blogspot.com/
You know how, when you walk into a shop, and you want everything you see, and you want to see eveything. (not miss a thing) You won't find all kinds of imported, mass produced crafts. Oh no, not here, but when you walk in you are surrouded by wonderful treasures of the past that Judy and Tony have creatively given a second life to. It's just one of those special places you can dream about....till you get the chance to return. You can check out her blog for pix.

Don't you just love that place. I live about 15 min from there. Did you check out the rug hooking shop next door? I'm glad you had a great time. Next time you go, please let me know and I could meet you there! LOL Have a great week!
Cheers

Yes, Zan, I think you would love the place. It's like stepping into the past when you cross the thresh hold!
Michelle, It was closer than I realized! We had to run, ( elderly 4 legged "grandson" at home, that gets mischievous when we are gone too long) did not get in the rug shop, unfortunately. That would have easily been another hour! But I am hoping to return soon. I left so many things there.....Becky

Isn't Judy & her shop wonderful?! We go up to Pa at least twice a year to buy for the shop (and a little getaway too LoL) and Judy's is THE place I'm always antsy to get to! She's a dear friend & wonderful shopkeeper! :)
Blessings,
lisa
p.s. yes, you DO need to hit the rug shop next door! And plan for over an hour there too! Kay is wonderful & has the most scrumptious wools!!! :)

Oh, yes, Lisa! I love all the old things Tony finds and how He and Judy have them so creatively displayed. It is such a unique shop. And BTW, Judy says they do Halloween, "Big TIME", so I am already waiting... And I know I must go next door to the wool shop, I had no idea ahead of time, one was there. I must make sure I have plenty of time, cause when I see all those colours, all in rows of shades and textures... well ...I just I just go bonkers! Nice to meet you, Becky
